CHRISVIRGY HOTELS / CASE STUDY
A warm welcome, before the first visit.
Designing and developing the online home for a new hotel in Kubwa, Abuja.

The hospitality starts before check-in
Chrisvirgy Hotels is a new hotel in Kubwa, Abuja. My work was to design and develop a website that introduces the property, gives its rooms a proper presence and helps someone take the next step towards a stay.
I wanted the experience to feel welcoming from the first screen. A visitor should be able to see the hotel, understand what is available and find a clear way to plan their visit.
Let the hotel set the direction
I took the visual direction from the hotel’s identity: its logo, red accents and photography. Generous images give the property room to speak, while the typography and spacing make the practical information easy to follow.
The homepage moves from a welcome to stay planning, room choices and hotel experiences. The restaurant, poolside, gym and rooftop lounge help tell the wider story of a visit, alongside the rooms themselves.
Photo galleries bring movement to the experience without turning it into a long list of images. The design gives the building, its interiors and the details of a stay their own space.

Give each room a useful introduction
The four room categories share a consistent structure, so guests can compare them without learning a different page each time. Room cards bring together photography, a nightly rate, capacity and key amenities.
On the individual pages, a large gallery leads into the room description, amenity icons and stay information. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, bed type and other practical details are part of the decision, so I gave them a clear place in the layout.
The room page also keeps a route to planning a stay nearby. Someone can explore the accommodation and move towards a reservation from the same context.

Start with the stay, then the room
I designed the reservation journey as three steps: dates and guests, room selection, then contact details. The homepage and room pages lead into that same flow.
That order follows the guest’s immediate questions: when am I coming, who is coming with me, and which room suits us? The date and guest controls make those choices feel like part of planning a visit.
The wording is equally important. This is a reservation request: reception confirms availability and the stay. The website does not collect online payment or tell guests they have a confirmed booking simply because they completed a form.

Build a consistent experience around WordPress
I developed the frontend in a custom WordPress hotel theme, bringing the homepage, room listings, individual rooms and reservation screens into one visual system.
Room information has a shared presentation across the site. Galleries, amenity icons, date controls and guest selection belong to that same experience, rather than feeling like unrelated additions.
The responsive layouts keep the journey usable on a smaller screen, where photographs, room details and booking controls need to fit into a much narrower space. Contact, WhatsApp and location links give visitors another route when they would rather speak with the hotel.
A clear foundation for search
The search work begins with the hotel’s actual identity and location: Chrisvirgy Hotels in Kubwa, Abuja. Dedicated room pages, descriptive headings and links between room discovery and stay planning give the content a clear structure.
That is the foundation I bring to a hospitality website: make the property understandable to a visitor, then support it with organised content and technical SEO. This is a new launch; booking growth and search performance need time and measurement.
A place to explore before arriving
The live website gives Chrisvirgy Hotels a coherent online introduction: see the property, explore the rooms, understand the amenities and request a stay.
For me, the design and development belong together. The visual experience should make someone curious enough to explore, and the underlying journey should help them do something with that interest.
